Underwater Light

Description
This underwater light is used for underwater lighting, all aluminum alloy with no screws on the outside, industrial tempered glass lens, 25mm universal filter can be installed on the front. Pressure-resistant depth of 300 meters, brightness 1500 lumens, all after 24 hours of aging test.
The regular version has bare wires at the end and the cable ends need to be waterproofed, e.g. with Cable Penetrators. The version with pre-installed M10 Cable Penetrator at the end can be screwed directly into the end cap without additional handling.

Optical Test Report:

Optical Test Report1.jpg

Wiring definition:

Red: power positive+, Black: power negative-, Yellow: signal

Control mode 1: ON/OFF switch control

The signal wire is connected to the positive pole of the power supply, and the lighting is lit at maximum brightness.

Control mode 2: PWM dimming control

The power supply of underwater lighting should be common ground with the signal source, and a PWM signal should be provided on the signal line, with the high level in the range of 1100us-1900us corresponding to the LED brightness 0-100%.

How to connect PIX:

The signal line of the underwater light is connected to the signal output channel of the PIXHAWK, select the channel of the light in the light setting of the QGC:

FAQ

● Will loosening the glands on the end of the light and on the cable penetrators affect the waterproofing?

It will affect, do not loosen or tighten the glands, special tools are needed for the installation of the glands.

● For the version with bare wires at the end, how do I do waterproofing after wiring?

Use cable penetrators for wiring, or press for watertight connector plugs.

● The cable length is too short.

Extension cables can be connected wire-to-wire, but they should not be too long because this light is PWM signal controlled.

● What is the reason that it does not light up after connecting to the power supply?

Check whether the wiring is correct and whether it is common ground with the signal source. Check if the power supply voltage is normal. Check if the PWM signal to the light is normal. You can short connect the signal wire to the positive terminal of the power supply to test whether the light can work normally.

● What is the problem that the light turns dim after it is on for a while?

Underwater lights rely on the shell and water contact to dissipate heat, internal temperature protection, the internal temperature exceeds 80 ℃ will be forced to reduce the brightness. When the temperature drops, the brightness will be restored.

● Is the control compatible with Ardusub?

Yes, it can be connected to Pixhawk.

● Can I use it in the air?

This underwater light relies on heat dissipation by contact between the housing and water, and is protected by internal temperature, so if the internal temperature exceeds 80℃, the brightness will be forced to decrease. When the temperature drops, the brightness will be restored.

If used in the air for a long time will trigger the temperature protection but will not be damaged, over-temperature protection can not be activated by signal dimming, the temperature will be reduced to 60 ° will automatically return to normal brightness and control.

● Why is there water damage on the outside?

The light has been subjected to a 24-hour underwater aging test before shipment, and there may be water stains remaining.
