Watertight Box

Description

The watertight box is used as the electronic watertight enclosures of underwater equipment such as ROV. It is made of aluminum alloy and has installation holes inside and outside. The rated depth is 300 meters

In some cases, it is easier to install PCB and other enclosure internal components, but also to provide a direct heat dissipation path for heating components. Composed of watertight box and lid, the tightening degree of 4 groups of mounting screws has nothing to do with the degree of sealing, so there is no need to over-tighten.

The interior space can be installed with Jetson nano, Raspberry PI, arduino and most other development boards. There are 20 M10 through holes on the wall, which can meet the number of holes required for an 8-Thrusters ROV.

● Can it still be used if the contact surface of O-ring is accidentally scratched? No, it cannot be used, as there is a risk of leakage. 

● Does the O-ring have to be greased when the lid is installed? Yes, it must be applied, otherwise it may be very difficult to disassemble and install. 

● What is the internal size? 202×132×79.5, note the rounded corners on the side and bottom. 

● Will it rust? Even if the surface of the aluminum alloy is anodized, it will still be corroded in water for a long time, especially in seawater. If long-term corrosion protection in water is required, sacrificial anodes can be added to provide some protection. 

● Is the number of penetrator holes a fixed number? Yes, you can use Cable Penetrator Blank to plug any excess holes. If you need to increase the number of holes, you can drill your additional holes, but too many holes will affect the pressure depth. 

● How do I open the lid? With a plastic sheet and other tools that will not scratch the surface, and pry up from the corner position in turn.
